Mayo Clinic Press, the trade and consumer publishing division of the nation’s leading hospital, has joined forces with award-winning audiobook publisher Dreamscape Media to expand their reach in the ever-growing audiobook market. This strategic partnership brings together Mayo Clinic Press’s commitment to empowering people with knowledge about mental and physical health and explorations of the frontiers of medicine and Dreamscape’s dedication to offering high-quality, diverse audiobook content that inspires and entertains listeners worldwide.
By combining Mayo Clinic Press’s trusted content with Dreamscape Media’s audiobook publishing expertise, both organizations aim to reach a broader audience and make valuable health and wellness resources more accessible to individuals worldwide.
“This new partnership offers us a unique and exciting opportunity,” said Sean McManus, president and publisher at Dreamscape Media. “Not only will we be working with Mayo Clinic Press to offer their existing audiobook catalog to numerous audiobook retailers across the globe, but we will also be working alongside them to produce and publish their upcoming frontlist audiobook titles.”
In addition to distributing Mayo Clinic’s previously-released audiobook titles to their global roster of retailers, Dreamscape Media will produce and publish over 40 new Mayo Clinic Press titles for adults and children over a three-year publishing agreement. Included in the catalog of new and upcoming audiobook titles are:
- Back on Track by Dr. Rebecca Jackson, a comprehensive guide for parents seeking to support their children’s brain development and overall well-being, offering practical steps grounded in brain science to help kids thrive in the post-pandemic world and beyond.
- Crusade to Heal America by Judith L. Pearson, a biography that uncovers the remarkable story of Mary Woodard Lasker, a health activist and philanthropist who revolutionized medical research, transformed the American Cancer Society and played a pivotal role in expanding federal funding for medical research.
- All Bleeding Stops by 40-year trauma care veteran Stephen M. Cohn, a gripping portrait of surgeons and their place in the controlled chaos of a trauma center.
“We are thrilled to partner with Dreamscape to bring our exceptional collection of audiobooks to an even wider audience. With Dreamscape’s commitment to producing high-quality content and their personalized distribution service, we can ensure that our valuable resources and expert insights will be accessible to an even broader audience,” says Dan Harke, Publisher of Mayo Clinic Press. “Together, we will continue to empower individuals to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.”
