The Audie Awards, according to the APA’s website, is “the premier awards program in the United States recognizing distinction in audiobooks and spoken-word entertainment.” Out of numerous submissions from audio publishers and rights holders across the country, finalists for these awards are selected by a group of industry professionals chosen by the APA, and one winner is announced in each category.
In The Skull, Otilla, a courageous girl, seeks refuge in a spooky house on a desolate hill. With a fearful skull as her host, they confront nightly threats. Steeped in shadows and threaded with subtle wit, this thrilling retelling of a traditional folktale is a deliciously macabre, empowering, and foreboding treat.
“We are thrilled to be awarded with one of the audiobook industry’s highest honors, the Audie Award,” says Erick Black, director of production for Dreamscape Media. “These wins not only reflect the dedicated work that the Dreamscape team devotes to each audiobook, but also the incredible expertise of the narrators who bring these titles to life with their voice talent.”
