In 2002, the United States/China Foundation, a non profit international cultural arts program, chose the award winning Mary Lamont Band of Long Island, N.Y. to represent the United States through their Country/Americana music. This ground breaking tour of Mainland China covered some 23,500 miles. The band performed in Shenyang, Dalian, Guizhou Province, Xiamen, Beijing, and Nanjing.
